HOW WE MAKE DRAPERY

Measure Curtain and Lining Panels
  1. Use a tape measure to determine the length from the floor to the desired height of the curtain rod.

  2. Subtract 1 inch to account for rings, and add 16 inches for the header and hem allowance. Transfer this measurement to your fabric.

  3. Use a quilting ruler or square and yardstick to draw a straight line across the fabric panel. Mark the line with a pencil, then cut across the marked line.

  4. Repeat this process with the second curtain panel, making sure to match up the design so it's level across both panels.

  5. Repeat this entire process with the lining fabric, but subtract 10 inches from the total fabric length.

By following these steps, you'll be able to create beautiful, perfectly-sized curtains for your home.
